Feel Good: What Foods Will Get Your Skin Glowing?

A Glowing skin is on all of our summer wish lists! Isn’t it on yours? We use moisturizing creams and body scrubs more often, and hope for a shiny glowing skin. We all want a nice tan while, of course, hoping not to get dry cracked skin, and we sure want glowing and healthy facial and body skin. I want this all year long to be honest.

Nourishing the skin from the outside by using creams and body scrubs sure is beneficial! But how about nourishing it from the inside? It takes two to tango, remember?

Here are six foods that will feed the skin from the inside and contribute to a shining and radiant skin! Did you guess what they are? ashta ice cream, mocha frappucino with an extra shot of coffee, .. LoL… Check our what Betty has got in store for you!!



Eggs- contain the fabulous selenium which is a mineral that protects against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. What more can we ask for!

Similar products to consider:  fish, shellfish, tomatoes and broccoli.

Let’s not stop here! Because eggs also contain some antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin which quadruple protection against the UV damage that leads to lines, brown spots, and cancer. Skin can also become softer, firmer, and better hydrated.

Kiwi- has the amazing Vitamin C that stimulates collagen synthesis and hence reduces and prevents wrinkles.

Chocolate- holds awesome flavanoids, which have been associated with softer, more hydrated skin because it increases blood flow to the skin. It also helps fight UV rays for your long summer days spent at the beach.

Extra virgin olive oil- gives us the marvelous vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant. It means that it can reduce skin aging and could reduce skin cancer.

Salmon- famous for its omega-3 which is a natural healthy kind of fat that can reduce skin inflammation in case of eczema or psoriasis. It is also responsible for the health of the cell membrane which will let our cells hold water and keep the skin moist, soft and wrinkle-free.

Oysters- the best food source of zinc, essential for new cell growth and reducing scars. Here’s a plus! It can also keep your hair and scalp healthy.

But hey everyone, bear in mind that for more visible results you need to drink water, exercise, stop smoking, reduce alcoholic drinks, get enough sleep, and use sunscreen and moisturizers! Did you get the glow yet???
